Northern Youth Task Women on Nation-Building, as Udeh Bags Sir Ahmadu Bello Award
Women across Nigeria have been tasked with greater roles in nation-building and leadership, as exemplified by Pharm. Judith Ngozi Udeh, Principal Manager (Marketing) at Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited, as she received the prestigious Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award and the honorary title of Garkuwan Matasan Arewa (Shield of Northern Youth) from the Council of Northern Youth Advocate of Nigeria (CNYAN).
Presenting the award at the Airport Golden Tulip Hotel, Lagos, the President of CNYAN, Hon. Mohammed Abdulrazaq, said Udeh’s recognition was a celebration not only of her personal accomplishments but also of the growing role of women in strengthening Nigeria’s unity and development.

He noted that her nomination, ratified at the historic Arewa House in Kaduna State after extensive deliberations at the CNYAN Congress, was a unanimous recognition of her integrity, service and detribalised spirit. He added that her leadership and commitment have inspired countless young people across the country, exemplifying values of courage, accountability and responsibility that resonate with the youth of the North.
According to Abdulrazaq, who was represented by Comrade Umar Abba Shaibu, President, Council of Northern Youth Advocate of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, Nigeria needs women of courage, vision and resilience to take up space in public and professional life, stressing that Udeh has set an inspiring example of purposeful leadership, proving that women can lead with distinction and contribute meaningfully to national unity, youth empowerment and socio-economic development.

“The Council of Northern Youth Advocate of Nigeria (CNYAN) is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation committed to the empowerment of youth across the Northern region of Nigeria. Our focus remains on fostering purposeful leadership, building national unity and bridges across the Niger, and advancing socio-economic development through advocacy, collaboration, and youth-led initiatives aimed at nation-building. Ambassador Judith Udeh is a solution to the puzzle called leadership distinction. Her achievements show that women have a central role to play in shaping Nigeria’s future,” he declared.

In her response, Udeh expressed profound gratitude to the Council, dedicating the honour to young people across the North, particularly girls and young women determined to make a difference despite the odds. She said the award was not just a personal honour but a call for women across the country to embrace leadership as a duty to the nation.
“This award is a reminder of the collective responsibility we all share. I dedicate it to every young woman who dares to dream, to lead, and to inspire change. Our country needs women who will stand tall for unity, integrity and development,” she said.
Udeh commended her colleagues at Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited for their support, noting that leadership is a shared journey made possible by teamwork. She assured the Council of her continued commitment to youth inclusion, responsible leadership and inclusive development, while urging other women to join in championing nation-building initiatives.
