Speaking during the event, the State Chairman of APP, Hon. (Dr.) Kingsley Akaiso expressed satisfaction with the successful exercise and praised members for their resilience.
“We are ready to take over Akwa Ibom State and instil everlasting peace in the land. Akwa Ibom used to be known as the most peaceful state in Nigeria. We have started sensitisation across the state and will not backslide till 2027,” Akaiso said.

According to him, the APP will focus on the welfare of citizens and ensure that no Akwa Ibomite suffers hardship under its leadership. “We must work assiduously, with the help of God, to ensure the emergence of leaders who would not allow our people to go hungry,” he noted.
The APP chairman urged residents to join the movement by registering with the party and participating in efforts to build a new political narrative for the state. He described the ongoing sensitisation campaign as an inclusive initiative aimed at delivering benefits to all citizens, regardless of political affiliation.
Akaiso also commended Governor Umo Eno for providing an enabling environment for opposition parties to operate freely and actively participate in the democratic process.
He appreciated members and supporters who defied the heavy downpour to attend the event, praying for God’s protection upon all who volunteered for the party’s mission.
