Aregbesola, Salvador Lead Coalition to ADC, Vow to Dethrone APC in 2027
Former Interior Minister and Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has called on Nigerians to rally behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Surulere, Lagos, at the official declaration of support for the ADC by the Conscience Forum, led by Hon. Moshood Salvador, Aregbesola said the ruling party had plunged Nigerians into hardship. He urged Lagosians also to prepare to take power from the APC at the Alausa Government House.

“The APC has failed in its promises. The ADC places people at the centre of governance, ensuring a more humane and responsive administration,” Aregbesola said.
Salvador, a former Labour Party governorship candidate, described the alliance as historic, revealing that the Conscience Forum now has over 400,000 members across Lagos. The event also marked the 25th anniversary of the group.
Other speakers included former Lagos Commissioner Rahman Owokoniran, who said internal crises had weakened the PDP; ADC Lagos Organising Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Ogidi, who described the gathering as the “first step on the journey to Aso Rock and Alausa in 2027”; and High Chief John Uche, ex-president of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Lagos, who pledged bloc support from the Igbo community.

Dr. Adefola Adeseye also urged citizens, especially women, to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and mobilise under what she called “Operation 100” to oust President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
