Nigeria’s renowned highlife legend and “Gwo Gwo Gwo n’Gwo crooner, Mike Ejeagha, is dead.

The eldest son of the musician, Emma Ejeagha, confirmed his death to Vanguard News on Friday night during a prolonged illness in Enugu, Enugu State.
Known for transforming Igbo folklore and proverbs into captivating music, Ejeagha died at 95 on Friday night at about 8pm.
He was said to have died at the 32 Garrison Hospital in Enugu, owned by the Nigerian Army.
Recall that he was the man that sang the famous Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo song that trended all over the social media.
