Breaking: Tragedy in Lagos: Multiple Feared Dead as Three-Storey Building Collapses on Island
A tragic incident unfolded early Monday as a three-storey building collapsed at Asesi Lane, near Adeniji Adele Road on Lagos Island, trapping several occupants beneath the rubble.
As of the time of filing this report, four individuals have been rescued and rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. However, authorities fear that many more may still be trapped, with the full extent of the casualties yet to be confirmed.

Confirming the development, Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, shared a brief update on Facebook:
“Four persons have been rescued from the rubble so far. They have been taken to hospital.”
Rescue efforts are being coordinated by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), with support from other emergency responders who swiftly mobilised to the scene.

The cause of the collapse remains unknown, but structural integrity issues are suspected. Authorities have cordoned off the area as search-and-rescue operations continue.
