The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into deep mourning following the sudden death of respected actress and film producer, Allwell Ademola, who passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 43.

The sad news, which spread rapidly across social media and industry circles, reportedly followed a suspected heart attack at her residence in Agege, Lagos. According to sources, concerns about the actress’s health had been raised earlier in the day when a neighbour alerted members of a WhatsApp group, stating that Ademola had been rushed to a nearby clinic in the area for urgent medical attention.
Despite efforts to stabilise her condition, the actress was later confirmed dead, leaving colleagues, friends, and fans in shock and disbelief.

Similarly, popular actress Mide Martins shared a photograph of the late actress on Facebook, lamenting the tragedy and referring to the day as a “black Saturday,” as she prayed for God’s mercy and eternal rest for her departed colleague.
Actor Damola Olatunji also reacted by posting a candlelight image accompanied by a brief but profound message reflecting on the fragile and transient nature of life.
In a series of emotional posts, actress Bidemi Kosoko openly rejected the reports of Ademola’s death, expressing disbelief and pleading that the news should not be true. She called on God to intervene and repeatedly asked for reassurance from the late actress.
Other industry figures, including Ariyo Akpesin and Jaiye Kuti, also shared heartfelt messages expressing shock, sorrow, and personal loss. Jaiye Kuti described Ademola as a dear friend and admitted struggling to cope with the sudden reality of her passing.
Fans, too, expressed deep sadness, with many recounting how Ademola’s roles touched their lives. Emotional messages and prayers continued to pour in, with some fans referencing earlier hopeful posts they had made while praying for her recovery, unaware that she had already passed on.
