FG Orders Release of Comfort Emmanson, Lifts Lifetime Flight Ban
The Federal Government has dropped criminal charges against Ms. Comfort Emmanson, a passenger accused of unruly conduct aboard an Ibom Air flight, and directed her release from Kirikiri Prison.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, announced the decision on Wednesday after consultations with aviation stakeholders.

Keyamo said the move followed a review of the August 10 incident, appeals from concerned individuals, and the remorse expressed by Emmanson during a police interview conducted in the presence of her lawyer.

With Ibom Air withdrawing its complaint, the Airport Command and police prosecutors have been instructed to complete the process for her release this week.
The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has also agreed to lift the lifetime flight ban previously imposed on her, with further details to be made public by the group.
