…Donates food, clothing, and school supplies to Orphanage
In a heartfelt move to mark her 40th birthday, Ibadan-based journalist Temitope Oladipo chose to celebrate not with parties or fanfare, but by giving back to society through a charity outreach to an orphanage home in the city.

On her special day, Oladipo visited Living Word Mission Orphanage, located at Sharp Corner, Oke Ado, Ibadan, where she donated essential food items, clothing, and stationery supplies to the children.
Among the donated items were a bag of rice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, packs of noodles, seasoning cubes, children’s clothing, and writing materials—carefully selected to meet both the nutritional and academic needs of the children.

Speaking during the visit, Oladipo said while there is nothing wrong with partying, she felt led to mark her milestone by impacting lives, especially those in need.
“Giving is not about how much we have, but the heart behind it,” she said. “Every act of kindness counts. I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to share love with these children instead of just celebrating in the usual way.”
The outreach was supported by some of her friends and well-wishers who contributed to the donation. Oladipo expressed deep gratitude for their generosity, which she described as instrumental to the success of the initiative.
The children and staff of the orphanage received her with joy and offered prayers and songs of thanks, visibly touched by the celebrant’s choice to spend her special day with them.
Looking back on her journey so far, the celebrant said the visit was her little way of expressing thanks for four decades of God’s faithfulness.
“This is just the beginning,” she added. “I’m committed to doing more as God enables me—using my platform to bring attention to those who need love and support.
