Lagos Unveils 2025 BECE Timetable, Assures Smooth Conduct of Exams
The Lagos State Government has released the official timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), scheduled to hold from July 2 to July 8 across both public and private junior secondary schools in the state.
In a statement issued by the Lagos State Examinations Board and signed by its Public Affairs Officer, Onadipe Opebere, the board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent and seamless examination process for all candidates.

Director of the Board, Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, described the BECE as a significant academic milestone that determines the transition of students from Junior Secondary School to Senior Secondary School.
He noted that preparations have been concluded to guarantee a hitch-free exercise throughout the examinations.
“The board remains fully committed to conducting a credible and stress-free examination for all candidates in both public and private schools across Lagos State,” Adebayo said.
He encouraged students to prepare thoroughly and approach the exams with confidence, adding that hard work and focus are key to success.
The director also called on parents, guardians, and school authorities to familiarise themselves with the examination schedule and adhere strictly to the guidelines.

According to him, all necessary logistics and monitoring measures have been put in place to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the process.
The BECE is a critical assessment for students in their final year of Junior Secondary School, qualifying them for placement into the senior secondary level.
